Date of Curd Tasting: 18JUL2014

To set the scene: We were spending a long weekend on the tip of Door County, and as per our typical foodie vacation, on the hunt for some good eats. We hit up a local for a recommendation, and Adam of Clay Bay Pottery sent us to one of his bride’s favs for lunch – Door County Creamery. They have outdoor seating that is dog friendly, plus adorable goats out front to greet you. Could we, should we, with a goat? YES.

Is. This. Happening?
We were immediately in love the moment we walked into the place. A goat dairy farm store and cafe, sandwiches, salads, “tasting slates” of cheeses and charcuterie, free samples of cheeses, meats and wines…and O.M.G. WHAT IS THAT IN THE GLASS CASE?!?!?!? Immediate SnapChat fired off.

Besides the Chz Curd Sammie, we also devoured the “Aged Goat Sandwich” – Aged Goat Cheese, Finocchiona (Garlic, Fennel Sausage), Arugula; and the “Feta Salad” – Door County Creamery Fresh Feta, Organic Greens, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red Onions, Greek Olives, Herb Olive Oil. This is definitely our kind of place. It will be yours, too.
